Welcome
Donna Somekh. I graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. I continued onto the Graduate School of Education at University of Southern California where I received a Masters of Education and Teacher’s Credential. After graduation, I taught English as a Foreign Language in Mishima, Japan. Upon my return, I educated Language Development students at Beverly Vista School in Los Angeles. Seven years later, I moved to Orange County and began working at Talbert Middle School where I am currently in my sixteenth year as an English teacher and Yearbook adviser. I love all aspects of teaching English. My mantra is: “Read like a writer; write like a reader.” I have been an educator for twenty-three years, and Talbert is by far the best place to work due to the dedicated, loving co-workers and bright, motivated students. Go T-Birds!
