Welcome

Welcome! My name is Ms. Marley, and this year I am teaching 6th grade English and History and 7th/8th grade Physical Education here at Talbert. I am in my third year of teaching and look forward to coming to school every day. My goal of teaching is that to provide students with different perspectives and give them an opportunity to make their own decisions about a topic; this allows for collaboration, group discussions, and critical thinking. I find it crucial that my students are active participants in my classroom, as this teaches them the meaning of hard work and responsibility.

When I am not in school, I can often be found coaching my high school basketball team. I am currently a coach at Los Alamitos for the girls Junior Varsity team. I have been coaching for four years and love sharing my passion for the sport with my players. If I am not coaching my team, I am often traveling around the world. I have been to fourteen different countries and would like to continue my travels this summer.
